The 1st 'Great Barrow Walk' 2009!

Are you looking for a serious physical and mental challenge?

We are organizing the first Great Barrow Walk for 2009. This is based on the famous Niijmegan March in Holland ( see www.4daagse.nl)

100 miles over 4 consecutive days

(for adults and a junior version also available)

Starting and finishing from The Academy each day with accommodation in tents and Military style food. We will be raising sponsorship for a local nominated charity and each 'walker' will be individually raising funds. A special medal will be designed and awarded to those who complete the full 4 day march similar to the prestigious 'Vierdaagse Cross', an official Dutch decoration that can be worn on a Dutch uniform. Entrants can be either Military or Civilian teams, or Individuals.
